Artist Bio

Cynthia is a traditionally trained Artist based in Harwinton, Connecticut. She specializes in oil painting, as well as charcoal and pastel portraiture. Cynthia’s artwork is known for its use of deep romantic colors, soft organic shapes, and high contrast shadows. Her portraits and landscapes convey deep emotional resonance, inviting viewers to connect with the subjects in a meaningful way.
Cynthia began her professional Art career shortly after college in 2007, having a solo exhibit in Collinsville CT. She is the former owner of Local Lore LLC; a business she founded to champion local artists and promote creative expression within her community. Through Local Lore, she organized fundraising events, public and private painting classes, paint and sip parties, and exhibitions, providing a platform for emerging local artists to showcase their work. Through her work as an artist, Cynthia continues to inspire and support personal growth, emotional healing, and creative expression.
